| What can you say about a marriott they are always very nice hotels.We were there in July of 05. This one has a pool on the roof and in Athens in the summer that is a plus after shopping in the Plaka all day.They were billding a large Bldg right next to the Marriott so you can forget having a room with a view of the Acropolis but I hope you can still see it from the pool.Another down side is that it is near nothing you have to take a bus .40 euro to the Plaka or a taxi 3-8 euro. 8 if you have the hotel get it for you and 3 if you walk down a 1/2 block and wave one down your self. The staff at the hotel were very nice but did not always give you the right info. All in all my family and I will be going back to Greece in June of 06 and will be staying at the Marriott. I can tell you if you are thiking of the Marriott in Athens book now they have great rate. Cheaper then when we stayed there this summer.
